 Nishinomaru Garden in  Japan
Japanese gardens are landscaping designs made of sand and stone, and they traditionally adorn the outside of Japanese Buddhist temples. The monks do not meditate in the gardens, as is often depicted in the Western world, and professional gardeners tend to the gardens to keep them intact, according to the "Journal of Japanese Gardening." The term 'Japanese Zen Garden' was first mentioned in 1935 by Loraine Kuck, a Western writer, although the Japanese do not refer to them as such. There are three main types of Japanese gardens -- Tsukiyama, Karesansui, and Chaniwa. Tsukiyama gardens are the recreation or natural scenery, and include mini hills, streams and flowers; these gardens are composed in China as well. Karensansui Japanese gardens are abstract representations of nature, and includes sand, gravel and rocks, and Chaniwa gardens are often the site of tea ceremonies, and include a tea house and decorative stepping stones.
Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver, British Columbia
The Capilano Group of Companies (CGC) comprises retail, hospitality and tourism based businesses anchored by Vancouver’s popular tourist attraction, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP). Native Vancouverite Nancy Stibbard purchased CSBP in 1983 and has spearheaded the attraction’s development and phenomenal increase in attendance over the past twenty years. Nancy’s commitment to exceeding guest expectations and providing truly memorable experiences is the service promise on which the CGC is founded. All of the organization’s marketing, administrative and financial activities are conducted from its headquarters at the Suspension Bridge location. CGC employs over two hundred people seasonally in addition to the over two hundred year-round positions. Students receive exceptional training and, on average, return for three seasons.

The Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland
The Dark Hedges is a unique stretch of the Bregagh Road near Armoy, in Ireland, that looks like something from a Tim Burton movie. Over the past 300 years or so, the Beech trees guarding either side of the lane have reached up and across to each other, becoming heavily intertwined to create a natural arched tunnel where shadow and light plays through entwined branches.
This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their Georgian mansion, Gracehill House, which is now a golf club. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland.
Legend tells that a supernatural ‘Grey Lady’ haunts the thin ribbon of road that winds beneath the ancient beech trees. She silently glides along the roadside and vanishes as she passes the last beech tree. Some say the specter is the ghost of a maid from the nearby house who died in mysterious circumstances centuries ago. Others believe that she is a lost spirit from an abandoned graveyard that is thought to lie hidden in the fields nearby. On Halloween night, the forgotten graves are said to open and the Grey Lady is joined on her walk by the tormented souls of those who were buried beside her.
